Today’s blog will be a lot shorter than the last few as it was all travel
We walked from our hotel to the airport, amidst the flocks of people and rows of checkin spots we finally found our airline check in and checked our bags. Clearing security went well, so we ended up with an hour and a half before boarding. There were only a couple of things we were looking for in Italy. In Florence it was the leather they are famous for and a something from the goldsmiths which they were also know for.
In Naples, we’ll really nothing there, but seeing the museum
In Amalfi, just something to remind us, we got consumables ship to our home. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar
The one thing we had not found to Dale’s taste were shirts. We check several places for some nice Italian made shirts
Guess what we found walking to our gate
A shop with shirts made in Milan
Dale found a couple he liked and they were added to our carry-ones, lucky he had room!
Then a mini museum down the hall as we walked to our gate
These are original old works of art
There were several all in a row
Dale said I should send this one to my brothers that were wrestlers
Lovely piece of an old painting
Waiting for the plane
Taxi ride to our hotel in Athens from the airport
When we went through town, it looked a lot like any other city. I just could not even guess at the signage
Everything was pretty much Greek to me. I know a few Greek letters, but that is pretty much from my college day and a game I play that likes to have you search for Greek letters
Tagging looks the same world wide. I think it is a shame others mark what is not their stuff
We have a balcony at our hotel room.
These are the views from it at sunset tonight. It is strange since we left Amalfi the trip has kinda gone a bit flat. Hopefully the cruise will help bring some of the fun and adventure back. It is warmer here than the last few days of the trip have been. I got out some short sleeve tops again.
